SCHOOL ANNUAL REPORT, 2023-24

We, at S. A. Jain Senior Model School  Ambala City ,  have always been committed to create an environment in the school which helps the young minds to blossom and provide a platform for individual thinking and holistic development of the child’s personality.

We set standards and goals for ourselves and strive to achieve them – be it in the area of academics, sports, discipline, innovation,  environment, leadership and more.

ACADEMICS

The session 2023-24 commenced on a wonderful note when the results of our 10th and 12th classes CBSE Board Examination came out. We are happy to share with the details of the commendable performances of our students.

12th class CBSE result was declared on 12th May, 2023 and we are happy to announce that S. A. Jain Senior Model School attained 99.24% result. Out of a total number of 262 students appeared , we have secured 135 merits, 71 first divisions, and 30 students securing marks above 90 percent. Rohan Verma bagged 1st position in Non-Medical securing 95.6 percent; Rujul Garg bagged 1st position in Medical stream by securing 95.2 percent; Kirti Sai stood first in Commerce by securing 95.8 percent while Manorama was the topper of Humanities with 93.4 percent marks.

In class 10th total 175 students appeared for the CBSE Board Examinations and we are glad to announce that in class 10th  we got 100% result .

Out of 175 students appeared, 63 students got merit; 116 students got first division, and 9 students stood above 90 percent. Mudit Jain and Anmol secured first position by securing 94.8 percent each; Lovish Aggarwal bagged second position by getting 93.4 percent; Sukhmani and Muhika each secured 3rd position.

Excellence in academics is the hallmark of any good institution and classes 10th and 12th results of the school prove without any doubt that our students made us proud.

None of these achievements would have been possible without the single minded commitment and dedicated care of our teachers. We are also constantly encouraged by parents and well wishers who have shown much confidence and given their fullest support. I wish to acknowledge the efforts and guidance of our management as their collaboration and contributions have made a difference.  We are aiming for the No 1 slot and have adopted various measures to achieve our goal. Extra coaching classes for the Board examinees, regular weekly tests and special counselling sessions for children are some of these steps.

SPORTS

“To be a great champion you must believe you are the best, if you are not; keep on trying.”

Sports competitions inculcate the spirit of positive challenges and sportsmanship among the students and prepare them for the life ahead. Sports, games and physical fitness occupy a place of importance in our curriculum. Our students and teams participated in different sports competitions and won medals, certificates and trophies. The following is the list of our students who reached to the state level participation after winning their zonal and district competitions.  In under-14 category,  Vishal Chaudhary (badminton) bagged gold medal, Varun and Manya (athletics) each got silver medals. In under-17 category, Anand Dua (gymnastics) won gold, Rishabh (badminton) got silver, Gurnoor (cricket) won gold while Khushboo and Kanika (athletics) bagged silver and bronze medals respectively. In under-19 category, Harsh (boxing) , and Bhavishay( weight lifting ) bagged gold medals while  Anmol and Bhavya Jain (T.T.) won silver medals.  Ramneek (basketball), Gunni and Priyanka (athletics),  Sonam and Nishtha (badminton) each bagged silver medals. Ishita , Divya , Vrinda, Bhoomi participated in under-19 chess state competition and each bagged a silver medal. All  above students  went to participate in State Championships.

SCHOOL HOUSES

“Strength does not come from physical capacity, it comes from unity”

The students of the school are divided into 4 different houses Mahaveer, Mrigawati, Vallabh and Atmanand. Each house is managed by House Masters, Associate House Masters, House Captain and House Prefects. The house on duty performs its duty of conducting the day to day activities, competitions in systematic and disciplined manner.

SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

“All work and no play make Jack a dull boy”

Various Co – Curricular Activities are held to develop a child physically, morally, socially and mentally and to hone skills in coscholastic areas, regular Inter House Activities were held in which the students participated and display their calibre. Subject-weeks are conducted to give our students an opportunity and platform to learn and grow holistically. We always encourage our students to participate in intra-school and inter-school competitions. This year our students participated in events like Youth Parliament , Voters’ Day competition (bagged 1st position), rangoli competition and many more . Seminars and workshops on Career Counselling, Fire- fighting, Yoga and Save-environment have also been  conducted.

FDPs

S. A. Jain Model School family consist of well-trained, experienced and dedicated teaching staff, administrative staff and supporting staff.

Staying updated is the key to success in any field especially in the field of education. Our teachers including our Principal constantly strive to stay updated by attending workshops and various training

programs. Our teachers Mr. Bibhu Nandan and Pardeep Kumar went to Chitkara University, Punjab to deliver expert talks on ICT tools and NEP respectively. Our Mathematics teachers Mister Ashish and Ms Nishi attended a seminar on Origami in Mathematics held at Chitkara University. Ms Bhavika  attended Workshop on "Life Skills"- Advanced Level conducted by CBSE

at Jay Public School, Barara. Ms Zeenat attended Capacity Building Program (CBSE)

on Cyber Safety &  Security held at Shemford School, Barara.   Ms Ritu Makhija and Harmeet kaur attended two days capacity building programme of Business Studies organised by CBSE. Ms Kamalneet Kaur attended two days capacity building programme on health and wellness organised by CBSE held at S.D.A. Girls Senior Sec. School, Ladwa, Kurukshetra. Ms Neetu Yadav attended two days Capacity Building Programme on political science at P.K.R Jain School, Ambala City. Ms Kamal Neet Kaur and Ms Sangeeta Ghai attended one day workshop on digital safety and online well-being workshop conducted by centre of social research in collaboration with the Reserve Bank of India held at GGDSDD College, sector 32 Chandigarh. Ms Geetika attended Inventant Stem Education program About- A.I ,Robotics, Mathematics at Clarks inn, Ambala. Sports teachers Ms. Aarti and Neha participated in Masters National Games at Goa and bagged silver medals.

Infrastructure

We have upgraded our infrastructure facilities including our computer lab, science labs and library. Currently, we have a Physics lab, Chemistry lab, Bio lab, Computer lab with internet facilities and a fully equipped library, basketball court, volleyball court, table-tennis room. The school also runs cricket, basketball, martial arts and dance academies.

Under the smart class project, we have converted our all classes into digitally smart classes and this year we have introduced Embibe also. The junior wing is empowered by lead school.

Contribution towards Save- Environment

S. A. JAIN Senior model school is associated with Human Foundation, which is working for a noble cause "Mission good Earth" . The  leading projects are Oxy zone , Floral Fest , Tulsi vatika and Oxy Home. 15 schools of Ambala City and Cantt. Participated in the above projects to make our town fresh and healthy.

Our school bagged VARINDAVAN AWARD in TULSI VATIKA and KANSYA PUSHP in FLORAL FEST.  It is all due to the dedication, hard work and commitment to excellence of all the students who volunteered to work together to make the school proud.

Many milestones have been achieved and many still have to be reached. We at S. A. Jain Senior Model School will continue our unceasing efforts to mould the young minds into well balanced personalities with confidence and zeal befitting the standards of this portal of education. This report is a sincere attempt to showcase our progress in terms of achievements and activities during the year.
